Going outside the box in a number of categories, there isn’t much we can learn from the Satellite Awards. If they end up being prescient, we might revisit, but a lot of “gimme” prizes (Frozen for Animated Film and “Let It Go” for Original Song, as well as Alfonso Cuaron for Director) went elsewhere suggesting they aren’t necessarily trying to predict anything. Which is, essentially, a good thing.
