Remaking Best Production Design, 1998

In our third pass of the Oscar nominees from 1997 through 2016, we take a look at the nominees for Best Production Design. Each week, we’ll present a list of contenders from which you can select five to make up the Best Production Design slate.   1. This was the first year I remember really having hope for some of the hopefuls and getting REALLY bummed when The Truman Show and Babe: Pig in the City didn’t have as strong of showing at the Oscars. Dark City was sadly a long shot, but was easily a landmark in Production Design.
