Normally, I review all the Oscar contenders releasing in a single week. However, with Oscar season going on, I’m covering the weekly winners & losers at the same time as writing this article. In addition, most of the films that release early in the year are seldom Oscar contenders.

As such, after the Oscars are revealed at the end of February, I will end the 88th Oscars’ Precursor Season with a final Winners & Losers article to go live Feb. 29. Then, starting the following week, I’ll be back to the grind with weekly coverage of the weekend’s Oscar contenders (if there are any) and will include Oscar contenders form January and February to bring everything back in line.
