The only competition for the latest “Avengers” film is a horror film that looks to be in the vein of The Wicker Man, otherwise known as a non-threat. Spider-Man: Far from Home should handily win the weekend pulling in huge numbers for Sony.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): Ari Aster’s first film was terrific. Can his follow up improve upon it?
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks like a meticulously crafted horror film with an interesting tale to tell.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): A fairly effective trailer shows no violence, but hints at horrors to come, but Iโ€™m not sure itโ€™s my kind of movie.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): I’m not a fan of the Tom Holland Spider-Man, but it’s part of the MCU and I’ve committed 10 years to this thing, might as well see it through.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks like a more down-to-earth tale than the usual superhero blockbuster.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): It may be good but Iโ€™m suffering from Marvel Universe fatigue and it would have been nice to have a break after Endgame.
