With a single new wide release, it’s possible The Marksman claims to the top spot. Can it outperform Wonder Woman 1984? Possibly, but it could be a fight.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): Another uninspired Liam Neeson action feature. Nothing to see here.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Liam Neeson as a border agent saving a young boy from the Mexican cartels looks to be one of his stronger recent entries.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): This looks like it will be better than the usual Liam Neeson shoot ’em up, and has the added interest of him taking care of a refugee, but I’m still not convinced that it will be that much better.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): There is a lot of promise in this cancer drama.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Swiss entry for International Film Oscar looks iffy despite the star power of Nina Hoss and Lars Eidinger.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): Cancer movies can do well at the Oscars, so this might pull off a nomination. The brother/sister dynamic looks well done and might that at the audience’s heart.\
