Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): It looks like a fun teen slasher film.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): A totally unnecessary remake of a remake of the 1974 sleeper hit.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): I have never seen the original film, and the trailer for the remake does not thrill me, so I will pass on this one.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): The first film was downright hilarioius. I only hope the sequel can live up to expectations.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Haven’t seen any of the Jumanji films, have no intention of seeing this one.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The first Jumanji was surprisingly fun, but this one does not look to have the same appeal. The visual look exciting, though over the top, but the performances were the key to the first one and those just do not look as good this time around.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): Clint Eastwood has gotten political before, butt his seems to be even more partisan than ever before.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): You can never count out a year-end Clint Eastwood film especially one based on a real-life character.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): If this is a success, it could garner a few nominations. However, the muddled trailer does not excite the viewer, and it has been long enough since the events occurred that I have little memory of what happened.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): The story of Fox News harassment scandal has affable leads and an important story, but the pro-Fox newsroom scenes just make me ill.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Not sure whether this Roger Ailes exposรฉ will live up to the hype, but it does look interesting.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): This sounds like it could be an exciting expose about the downfall of Roger Ailes at Fox News. The trailer gives away little, but is rather fun.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): Sci-fi doesn’t always look good.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Sci-fi drama doesn’t look like anything new.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The Amell brothers make for good eye candy, and a story of X-Men style fighters facing discrimination for their powers has potential, but the trailer seems too familiar.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): While the premise might be an interesting one, the trailer doesn’t suggest it.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks like a routine western.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): A bad title does not help this true story about a black lawman, and the trailer is more full of gun violence than personal story, so it feels like it will be a bit of a misfire.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): Terrence Malick is said to be back at the top of his game, but I cannot muster up much interest in seeing this.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks like another disappointing Terrence Malick film that would have benefitted from tighter editing.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): I have never been that much of a Malick fan, and while this seems to have a coherent and compelling story line, I fear that it will amble off to little meaning instead.

Peter J. Patrick (PP): Heavily fictionalized version of the real Jean Seberg story with an actress who displays none of her vibrant personality.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): If it were a better film, then Kristen Stewart might well have gotten an Oscar nomination, but sadly that sounds like it is not the case.

Wesley Lovell (WL): I cannot seem to conjure up much interest in an Adam Sandler film, no matter how good people say he is in it.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): The Safdie Brothers film has already won several major year-end awards.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The buzz about the movie and Adam Sandler’s performance are good, but the trailer really does not interest me in this movie or his character at all.
