Poster Rating: C+; B

Review: This poster has very little to do with the film, at least as far as the trailer is concerned. Afraid of what might occur if they put the title or any other implicaiton of suicide in place, the producers have shied away from what could have given this a more interesting look.

This poster so much better epitomizes the film’s title and simultaneously explains it as a “caution”ary tale, a concept that the first poster somewhat conveyed, but without a serious explanation of events.

Trailer Rating: C+

Review: The classic road trip movie through a filmic version of purgatory where lost souls who commit suicide are said to go according to the Roman Catholic belief system. The afterlife has been done better in films like Defending Your Life. Here, the concept seems like it’s teetering on disaster; however, it’s quite possible the film could be quite amusing.

Oscar Prospects:

Oscar voters will steer away from the title much like producers. They may admire the film, but they would be afraid of the backlash that could occur if they chose the film. Of course, critics may have a bigger impact if they go for the film, which I don’t see as much of a possibility.
