Review: What a thoroughly uninteresting poster. Sure we have a war between Jet Li and Jason Statham, but must we
be forced to look only at their conflicting profiles? The black and red and white is as irritating as usual even though the title is slightly fleshy-colored.

Trailer Rating: C-; C-

Review: So Li quit martial arts epics to make action films? And he even does small amounts of martial arts in it. Two words fit this move: “sell out”. There will be plenty of fans who’ll still see the film, but after this preview, I can’t distinguish it from any other similarly-themed martial arts/action/revenge/FBI film ever made.

The new trailer is virtually indistinguishable from the first. Same old action. Same old plot. Same old actors. There’s nothing more impressive, nor less impressive, but my initial impression remains the same.

Oscar Prospects:

If the Summer weren’t so packed with action films, we might have seen this film as a long-shot contender for Sound Editing or Sound Mixing. This year, it’s not even near the top 50 such competitors.
