Review: (#1) A design that looks so familiar that it won’t stand out in the slightest. (#2) If the background were more interesting, especially in the lower third, it would be a much more compelling design. (#3-#6) These character posters have unique, but indistinct backgrounds that set them apart, but the general color scheme keeps everything unified effectively enough.

(#7) There’s nothing new here that we haven’t seen in previous designs. (#8) Not only is it not very new to this series of posters, but it’s also not very interesting. I’m sure Kate Beckinsale might be a selling point for fans of the franchise, but it won’t do much for anyone outside that narrow demographic.

Review: (#1 & #2) If you’re a fan of the franchise, these trailers will handily bring you back into the fold. If you aren’t a fan, these might generate a modicum of fascination, but not sufficient to bring you in. The first design ends up inferior because it creates an image of a film that’s clunky, lumbering, and not particularly exciting.
