Review: By putting the Pyramids in the background, the artists behind this advertisement have very little concept of what’s going on. Hardly near any major metropolis at the time of the Biblical story, putting the pyramids in only helps draw attention to how uneducated they are.

Trailer Rating: D+

Review: It starts out with some good computer animation, but as the preview drags on, basically telling the entire story in a 3-minute clip, it’s easy to grow bored and decide to watch the DeMille original instead. And any film that would put Christian Slater into the role of Moses really has no business succeeding at the box office.

Oscar Prospects:

With such a lackluster field of animation contenders, this one will certainly qualify. However, with such a small number, it’s unlikely more than three features will get nominated, which means The Ten Commandments won’t be one of them.
