Review: (#1) If you’re familiar with the original or its remake, then this is probably fascinating to you. However, there’s just not enough of interest in it. (#2) A mildly creepy design taken directly from the film, but without the satisfying context or situational haunting factor.

(#3) Not at all appealing or interesting. (#4) more of the same lazy dullness.

Trailer Rating: B- / C+

Review: (#1) The most difficult aspect of selling a new film featuring an old horror villain is trying to make it feel original and inventive. This trailer does a satisfactory job of that with some interesting elements that clearly make the film look haunting, but which don’t overwhelm the trailer itself.

(#2) Going for an extended scene from the film rather than a traditional trailer, the effort feels wasted. Sure, it’s a red band trailer that gives more details, but it’s not a particularly successful operation.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
