Review: (#1) At first sight, this poster might not look like a daring, quintessential design, but if you look closer, it becomes a tightly representational design that perfectly fits the film.

(#2) There’s something visually compelling about this design. It might not be inventive, or overly creative, but it’s substantively meaningful without looking commonplace.

Trailer Rating: B- / B

Review: (#1) A fairly procedural exploration of an incident, the future ramifications and the setup all mixed into a trailer that doesn’t create much tension or excitement.

(#2) The first trailer went to great lengths to quickly convey the film’s post-crash premise, but this trailer sets up the crash landing itself, giving the film a feel of gripping inevitability.

Oscar Prospects:

Oscar winner Clint Eastwood teamed up with Oscar winner Tom Hanks in a film about a prominent aviation disaster could spell major Oscar glory.
