Poster Rating: B

Review: Since the entire film is designed as an art film, there’s no reason why the poster shouldn’t be given the same treatment. The use of color and design is fitting and the radial quotes from the Eiffel Tower are fitting.

Trailer Rating: B-

Review: Ensemble directorial teams are becoming more common in modern filmmaking. This feature may be taking it too far. Featuring 18 directors, whose names flash so quickly across the screen it’s virtually impossible to catch them all, Paris Je T’aime looks like it could be good, but the chances are limited. In a 3-hour film, the directors could only get about 10 minutes of quality work together and that many vignettes will be hard on the senses. It could work, but the preview doesn’t tell us for sure if it does.

Oscar Prospects:

Too many cooks create problems and it’s unlikely Oscar’s going to take a risk of rewarding the wrong person, so they’ll skip it altogether.
