Review: (#1-#4) Perhaps something within the film itself explains these strange character posters. However, I doubt anyone, even those who’ve seen the trailer, will be interested in these particular designs.

(#5) While the trailers may be stylish, the posters are anything but. Sure, Jake Gyllenhaal is on Amy Adams’ mind in the trailer and in the poster, but that symbolism is insignificant with a poster deign as dull as this.

Trailer Rating: B+ / B+

Review: (#1) A stark, dark psychological drama with terrific actors doing what is suggested as brilliant work. All this mixed with some strong visual constructions and you have a film that looks almost unbeatable.

(#2) Another trailer that positions this as one of the best looking and possibly most emotional devastating film of the year. It’s intense, gorgeous and most fascinating.

Oscar Prospects:

This should be one of the year’s key competitors with several cast members in contention for nominations, especially Amy Adams.
