Review: Showing us the classic magnifying glass with the golden initials of the titular heroine gives the film a little more class than the "Get a Clue" tag near the bottom.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: The kid in me wants to go back to the days of teen sleuths solving mysteries. This film promises to at least deliver some interesting situations. Nancy Drew was known for her ability to get herself in way over her head and into danger. While this seems to be a modernized version of that vision, the preview focuses on the young humor and not on the mystery, which will draw young audiences in but may scare away the fan base that would normally turn out to watch it.

Oscar Prospects:

If Veronica Mars can’t get Emmy Award nominations, the more conservative Academy Awards won’t take notice of this youthful sleuth.
