Poster Rating: B-

Review: Another awards campaign-style poster that uses muted colors and smiling people to convey some of the happiness in the lives of the film’s characters. The colors aren’t terribly oppressive and the balance of images in the poster works.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: It’s hard to really understand what the film’s about until half-way through this trailer (which seems quite a bit longer than most others). It’s uplifting message feels less forced than many other trailers of this style. However, the preview suggests it may be a little too fake in its positive tone.

Oscar Prospects:

With no big stars to buoy the film and the fact that it feels somewhat like a television movie, I can’t see the Academy stepping up to recognize it as there aren’t enough duds so far this year.
