Review: (#1-#3) These three posters showcase the whimsy of the film, but only modestly touch on its adventurous nature. There’s too much detail in the first two, which gives the third an edge in terms of creative impressiveness. (#4-#11) The whimsy continues in these 8 character posters with lush, colorful details and a clearly playful mien.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: Building on the martial arts tropes established over decades within Asian cinema, this trailer has a youthful excitement and inventiveness that should appeal to a much broader cross-section of the American population than the regular martial arts films usually do.

Oscar Prospects:

With a significant amount of animation involved, it should be eligible for Oscar consideration for Best Animated Feature. It could also be a contender for a win if it’s as good as its Chinese box office suggests.
