Review: The poster isn’t really that interesting and seems to have little in common with the film’s subject matter.

Review: It’s a French verison of Shakespeare in Love that looks so strikingly like the Joseph Fiennes/Gwyneth Paltrow film as to be virtually indistinguishable. This time it’s about one of France’s great comic playwrights, the titular Molière and might be slightly different, but not quite enough.

Oscar Prospects:

If this is the French submission, I could see it doing very well. It’s a costume comedy and is like Oscar winning Shakespeare in Love. If it competes, it could get nods for Art Direction, Costume Design and Cinematogrpahy alongside a Foreign Language Film nod. Unfortunately, that’s about as far as I think it can go.
