Poster Rating: C-

Review: There is no purpose to the design of this poster. With George Clooney out of focus behind “The Truth Can be Adjusted”, it does very little to suggest what the audience can really expect from the film.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: It’s hard to say whether the film will be any good. On one hand, it seems very thriller-oriented, which could bring in an audience. On the other hand, there seems to be a lot of plot threads woven together here, which might entice the same audience. The thing that will turn that audience off, though, is that it may end up being highly political, which doesn’t always sit well with audiences looking for thrillers.

Oscar Prospects:

Too much thriller may eliminate it early from most Oscar races, but George Clooney should get a lead nomination if the film receives nothing else and maybe a nod for Tom Wilkinson in support. The film could play incredibly well with the Academy. After all, they did love Erin Brockovich, but this is no Brockovich.
