Poster Rating: B

Review: Aspects of the poster are noteworthy (the use of an image that reflects into the water suggesting a town beneath it is overshadowed by the portraits of Laura Linney and Gabriel Byrne which only serve to distract but likely highlights the relationship between the two in the film.

Trailer Rating: A-

Review: It’s seldom that a preview so involves you into speculation as to its plot without revealing a single shred of it. Jindabyne looks to be an involving suspense film that should provide some decent entertainment.

Oscar Prospects:

This could be a terrific vehicle come Oscar time but its April release may doom it before it has the chance to succeed. Then again, the early release may just symbolize the studios lack of faith in the production which is never a good sign.
