Synopsis:

From IMDb: “When Lou, who has become the “father of the Internet,” is shot by an unknown assailant, Jacob and Nick fire up the time machine again to save their friend.”

Poster: C- / C / C+ (3) / C-

Review: This pair of posters aren’t compelling. They aren’t attractive. They’ll be familiar to fans of the original, but most everyone else will wonder why it even matters. The second poster at least put them at the water’s edge, which ties into the central object of the films.

(#3-#5) These three designs are all tapping into the significant-points-in-history motif, which makes them amusing, but not original. (#6) This is a little more mysterious than the predecessors, but it may be a bit too abstracted and distracted to be effective.

Trailer: B

Review: Like the original film’s trailer, this one has a suitable number of humorous elements, but suggests a film that may overstay it welcome sooner than becoming an exciting, vibrant follow-up. The cross-bouncing of timelines adds an element to time travel that’s seldom touched on and probably for good reason.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
