Review: It’s the Green Acres of poster designs. New York is where he’d rather stay. Meanwhile, London is the place to be. It’s also about as visually distinctive as that show was. (#2-#5) This series of character posters are dull and lifeless.

(#6) Diagonal action is now quite overused and while the lack of background details is a failing, this isn’t a bad design for this particular film.

(#7) There’s too much white here. While it does accentuate the scenes contained hereon, it does not make for a appealing visual design. (#8) There’s nothing here of merit as is too often the case with designs for IMAX presentations.

Trailer Rating: B- / C

Review: (#1) There’s plenty of action here to entice fans of the Fast & Furious series, but the film is almost mirthless in places, which doesn’t seem that appealing.

(#2) Apart from the killer chase sequences, this franchise hasn’t had much to offer. This trailer presents even less of merit for the audience hoping that familiarity with Fast & Furious combined with those awesome action set pieces will draw people to the theater without any idea of why the plot is important.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
