Poster Rating: C+

Review: If it weren’t for the Michael Myers mask featuring small images colorized orange and red, the poster might be more interesting. As it is, the poster’s significantly cluttered. The colors are far more interesting than many of this year’s crop and the silhouette of an unmasked Myers works quite well.

Trailer Rating: B+

Review: The "origin story" shifts from being a staple of the comic book adaptation revival to a potential staple of the horror genre. This Halloween looks quite interesting as we’ve always wanted to know more about where Michael Myers came from. Though, I’m not certain why they replaced the late Donald Pleasance with Malcolm McDowell.

Oscar Prospects:

The comic book features haven’t been successful in their re-imaginings in earning Oscar respect, i don’t expect this one to do so either.
