Poster Rating: C-

Review: This poster is bleak and uninspiring. While the trailer suggest that this is how the film will be, you can’t help but find more reasons not to want to see it because of it. The images behind the docu’s subject aren’t terribly evocative and therefore the poster is not.

Review: Another hip-hop-umentary. The trailer doesn’t make the subject matter look more interesting and adding the critics’ praise the film has received
only makes the producers seem like they’re trying to pull in the art house audience who might not normally check the film out.

Oscar Prospects:

I don’t see this one earning Academy respect. I think this film will be discarded by the documentary branch in favor of something a lot more inspirational.
