Trailer Rating: A-

Review: I’m one of an increasingly-narrow group of critics who loved Elizabeth. This film seems to take a different approach, but with the same style. It is gorgeous to look at and the performances seem quite good. If this approaches the quality of the original, I can imaging success.

Oscar Prospects:

This could be one of the few sequels to win Oscar recognition. Cate Blanchett seems destined for a second lead nomination as the Queen of England. Geoffrey Rush and Clive Owen could also earn recognition, but guaranteed nods will come in the Art Direction, Costume Design and Cinematography categories.
