Review: A nice color palette doesn’t quite make up for its rudimentary two-panel basis, though adding the slight mapping detail to the background makes it further interesting.

Review: It’s been a long time since we’ve had this kind of big screen narrative epic, an artform that has struggled to maintain its urgency since its demise in the late 1980s. The trailer does a suitable job giving the audience a feeling for its grand narrative, but not enough of an emphasis on the film’s actual plot.
Oscar Prospects:
It’s hard to know how this one will play out. It looks traditionally epic enough to be an Oscar contender, but the June release doesn’t suggest the film has much promise.
