Review: (#1) An utter waste of space with a bland color scheme. The corny human-I isn’t particularly clever or original.

(#2) Anything is an improvement over the prior poster, but not by much. The splatter design motif is just sloppy, distracting, and ugly. (#3) A little more splatter here, but it’s used almost as an antiquing tool, which is an interesting way to do it. Sure, it doesn’t do a very good job of selling the film as a Bruce Willis vehicle, but it’s interesting enough.

(#4) An homage to poster designs from long ago, this poster has some interesting and contrasting colors, but it doesn’t generally pop.

Trailer Rating: C / B

Review: (#1) Built on every boring trope we’ve seen countless times, this cheap revenge thriller. It being a remake makes it even less interesting.

(#2) The first trailer had a distinctly racist vibe to it, highlighting only the black criminals in the film. Having realized their mistake, hopefully, this trailer does a better job of highlighting the primary criminals as white and setting this up as more of a husband’s revenge drama than an anti-crime drama, though there will be some of that for certain.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
