Review: (#1) Without knowing what the film is about, this poster design doesn’t give the audience much information. Seeing the trailer adds a great deal of thematical relevance. (#2) This is a rather dull design that has little going for it unless you easily recognize the Berlinale symbol and even then it probably won’t mean enough.

Review: There are some intriguing elements in the trailer, but there are also some formulaic ones making this drama feel both expected and unexpected at the same time. It’s a tough line to straddle and the trailer doesn’t quite make the leap.

Oscar Prospects:

Agnieska Holland’s new film might be a strong contender for a Best International Film Oscar nomination, but not likely anything else.
